Description
This beautiful boat is one of John Aldens most popular designs. In 1999, "Glory" was the overall winner in the Great Schooner race from Annapolis to Norfolk. In 2000, she came in 3rd in her class. The hull and deck were completely replaced in 1994 (a 2 year project). The mast, spars, interior mahogany and furniture are from the original boat. The final result is a lovely exact reproduction of an Alden KCB 43 schooner. In July 2000 the following work was done; hull, decks and bottom were painted, new zincs were installed, new packing on the shaft and 5 coats of varnish on the main mast. Regular maintenance has been meticulously completed. Many spare parts are included.
