The Westsail 42 sleeps 4 owners and 2 guests in 2 staterooms which includes a guest head. The bow has a large chain locker and storage which is followed by a head compartment complete with a walk-in shower. The large guest stateroom, forward of the dining settee, is composed of upper and lower berths which can be arranged to maximize the seating ability of the boat. Ample storage behind and below this area is provided as well. The main salon has upper and lower berths on both sides which also doubles as a spacious seating area. Step up to a large fixed table and seating to port. The L-shaped galley is to starboard from the companionway steps. Large fixed ports and lots of storage and counter space make food preparation easy and comfortable while at port or underway. There is a walkthrough entrance to the aft cabin which has single berths with filler, several hanging lockers and separate head and shower. The large engine room with generator can be accessed through the aft head. "Caithness" is equipped with the Shipmaster interior arrangement and is finished with solid teak. Many opening bronze portlights and a centerline opening hatch provides good light and ventilation.
