Description
THE Albin 25
The Albin 25 is a classic, highly sought "pocket trawler." During its production (1968-1981) it was one of the most popular boats around. This popularity was due to its unique family-friendly features. These features include high coamings, reliable and safe diesel power, frugal fuel usage, trailerability, and most importantly the aft cabin. The aft cabin includes two berths (they extend under the side cockpit seats), and along with the vee berth in the main cabin provides plenty of privacy while sleeping.
The Swedes' engineering perfectionism and strict adherence to temperature controls results in a hull whose glass fibers have stood the test of time.
Confirming the strength of the design is the "reintroduction" of the model by Albin (now US-based) as the Albin 30 Family Cruiser.
The Albin 25 received a great write up from Motor Boat and Yachting - who classified it as one of the hundred best boats of all time.

VESSEL WALK THROUGH
Starting in the forward cabin, at the bow: there is a V-berth with a storage drawer above the foot area and a curtain under the drawer for bedding storage. There are shelves along both sides above the berth and storage bags, which serve as back cushions, below the shelves.
Aft of the V-berth the galley is to port and the enclosed head is to starboard. The aft bulkhead in the forward cabin contains the Magic Chef microwave oven outboard and the DC and AC electrical panels with storage shelves below towards the center-line and the door to the cockpit, to port. THE STAINED GLASS SHOWN IN THE PHOTOS DOES NOT CONVEY!!
Two steps up takes you into the cockpit. To your right, heading aft (along the port side), is built in cabinetry with five drawers for tools over the clever tilt-out propane storage locker. Aft next to this is a large ice chest for food storage. Aft of these built-ins is a bench seat with a cushion.
On the opposite (starboard)side of the cockpit the forward portion is taken up with the double helm seat followed by a bench with a cushion along the side which mirrors the bench on the port side. Both benches are excellent for sitting and watching the world go by when underway and the side curtains are folded up or are taken off. They are also an excellent place for a snooze.
Further aft are the double (Dutch door style) doors, which provide privacy in the aft cabin. The rear and both sides of the aft cabin consist of built in bench seating with cushions. The benches along the sides continue forward under the benches in the cockpit to provide a berth along each side of the aft cabin with a small floor area in the center of the cabin.
