Description

Introduced in 1977, the Tartan 37 was among the most successful of the many collaborations between Charlie Britten and Sparkman & Stephens.  Nearly 500 were ultimately built, testifying to the popularity.  In the minds of many discerning yachtsmen, the T-37 represents the "perfect balance" of design considerations.  Many sisterships have cruised the oceans of the world, while others have had "happy careers" as inland or coastal family cruisers.

WHITE BIRD certainly ranks among finest T-37s afloat.  With her perfect teak brightwork, and custom modifications, her fastidious owners have maintained and upgraded her to a very high standard.

OWNER'S COMMENTS

We have cruised WHITE BIRD from the Chesapeake to Maine over the last nine years, spending each winter doing extensive upgrades and improvements.  With our skills at woodwork and varnishing, we have made our yacht almost into a work of art.  This effort -along with all the functional modifications and upgrades- has all been in pursuit of the goal of making WHITE BIRD self-sufficient for sailing anywhere the world. The yacht is ready, but we got “bigger-boat-itis” -and would like a larger platform for future cruising.  We hope an appreciative new owner of WHITE BIRD will be able to fulfill their cruising dreams aboard her.
