HIGHLIGHTS
With her nearly new 100hp Yanmar diesel and other upgrades, as well as her powerful rig, extensive sail inventory, and bright, clean functional interior, DELLA ROSE represents an amazing opportunity to own a very serious sailing machine in this price range. The Hunter 54 is not a beamy, boxy cruiser. Rather her "pencil-type" waterline profile allows her to be propelled throught the water almost effortlessly by her relatively modest (and imminently manageable!) rig; or by her almost new, power-in-reserve Yanmar diesel.
Due to an unanticipated change in plans, Della Rose's owner is reluctantly selling her after commencing a no-expense-spared upgrade program. (Some additional equipment installations are still required.) A preliminary survey of "DELLA ROSE" was recently performed at the owner's expense. Some isolated areas deck delamination were revealed. One of the premier fiberglass technicians in Annapolis estimates $8-10,000 will remedy these issues.
While the average selling price for Hunter 54's is in the $70's or $80's, Della Rose's owner has now reduced the asking price to $67,000 to encourage a quick sale and to compensate the new owner for these still outstanding issues.
