Accommodations
Sleeps 6. V-berth forward with 2 hanging lockers & bureau. Next, aft to port is enclosed head with hot and cold pressure water; ensuite shower and manual head. Hanging locker opposite to stbd. L-shaped settee to port with bulkhead mounted fold down table. Settee and pilot berth opposite on stbd with nav station and double quarter berth to port; the Tartan 37 has a full teak interior and all of the joiner work has been very well cared for. Varnished teak and holly sole. There are custom locker innovations and top quality plumbing fixtures throughout. The boat has 4 Hella turbo fans, and wonderful ventilation and light. The refrigeration system is so efficient that it consumes less than 20 amps a day! Both water tanks were replaced in l998. The holding tank was replaced in l997 with both a deck and an overboard pump out option.

Galley
U-shaped galley houses Force l0 3 burner propane stove with oven and broiler; remote gas solenoid (1995); Adler Barber Cold Machine (l999); ice box rebuilt with 6-9" of insulation to R-30. (Note: it has been reported that the Adler Barber cycles only 2 minutes per hour since the addition of the R30 insulation); Custom trash bin; Foot pumps for both fresh and sea water at double stainless steel sinks: Scanmix single lever water faucet (l997); accumulator tank, 2 gal. (1994); water filtration system by General Ecology.

Hull and Deck
Hull had a complete blister repair job by Osprey Marine in l993. Has a l0 yr. warranty. Hull peeled, air dried for 7 months and relaminated with two layers each of 9 oz. cloth using Vinylester resin. Boat has been hauled every winter since. Bottom paint soda blasted off and repainted (2001). Hull is white. Deck is white with sand colored non-skid.

Sails and Rigging
1999 Updates: New custom tapered mast, white Awlgrip, single spreader with internal halyards. Strong Track sail system, trysail track, Anderson ST 40 winch with jammers, anchor light, Windex and twin deck floodlights. Headsaill furler is Furlex 300. Hydraulic Sailtec backstay adjuster installed 1996; rebuilt 1999. Inner forestay with ABI quick release lever and running backstays. Standing rigging replaced using Norseman terminals. Running rigging replaced, using Spectra T900; most lines run to the cockpit. New custom boom in white Awlgrip with internal reefing and Anderson ST winch.

BROKERS COMMENTS
"PROVIDENCE" has had every system either replaced or upgraded within the last 6 years by a very knowledgeable owner who spares no expense to maintain this boat in Bristol condition. She is one of S&S's classic designs that gives 140 mile days with ease and comfort at sea. A joy to inspect and to sail. With a blister repair job, a new rig and lightly used engine and sails, she is ready to give her next owner years of pleasure!
