OWNER'S COMMENTS

TASHTEGO  has been meticulously maintained since she was first launched in 1984.   As only the second owners, we cruised her in the Caribbean from 2007 – 2012, living aboard full time.  We found her to be safe, reliable, easy and comfortable.   The extensive replacements and upgrades we completed during our voyage were all made in keeping with our belief that boat systems which are completely functional -but no more elaborate nor energy-consuming than necessary- are systems that minimize repairs and downtime and maximize fun time.

Tashtego’s full keel and exceptionally rugged construction means that she delivers a safe sea-kindly ride in rough waters, yet the ample sail plan -with her long bowsprit- allows lets her move surprisingly well in light air.   She stands out from the crowd wherever she goes.  At anchor or in a marina, she was a comfortable and gracious home, thanks to her airy open layout, beautiful teak interior, efficient galley, and convenient, extensive storage.  Relaxing in the cool cockpit at day’s end was always something we always looked forward to.

TAHTEGO is ready to cruise immediately and will serve a new owner well for many  years to come.
