"SKYLARK"
1985 Cape Dory 36 -- CUTTER; Low hours
Specifications
Description
** Rebuilt diesel ** Many upgrades ** Alberg design ** Varnished teak interior ** 7 sails ** Liferaft ** Dinghy and motor ** Windvane ** SSB/Ham **
The classic Cape Dory 36 represents the culmination of the famous Alberg designs from the original heyday of fiberglass sailboat industry. With her many upgrades and beautiful teak interior, SKYLARK is surely one of the finest examples among Cape Dorys currently afloat.
From the Cape Dory Owners' website:
"Despite the emphasis on ocean cruising capabilities assuring her ability to stand up in a blow, beat to windward or track effortlessly on long downwind runs, the Cape Dory 36 is not intended solely as a single purpose, long distance, passage making yacht. While powerfully built and heavily rigged for off shore work, she was designed to be equally well suited for the gentle breezes of an afternoon sail or a weekend cruise. The cutter rig with ample sheet and halyard winches, jiffy reefing gear and self-tending, boomed staysail, make her easy to sail single or short handed. Husband and wife crews will particularly appreciate the double headsail rig which offers a variety of sail changing and shortening options."
