Description

Featured in Ferenc Mate's book, The World's Best Sailboats, the Dickerson 37 is highly regarded by knowledgeable yachtsmen as a "modern classic."  The Dickerson 37, designed by George Hazen and built on the Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake Bay, are often placed in a class with other well known yacht builders, such as Bristol, Morris, and Hinckley.  IMAGINE, with fastidious maintenance by her current owner since 1989, is clearly one of the standout examples of a Dickerson 37 to be offered on the brokerage market.

OVERVIEW and HIGHLIGHTS

Under the care of the same doting owners since 1989, IMAGINE stands out among classic yachts in her class. The nearly pristine engine and meticulously maintained teak joinery are among the many evidences of the owners' focus on functional features as well the high standards of aesthetic beauty that a proper yacht deserves.

Several "above average" Dickerson 37s have sold recently above $80,000.  However, due to a strong desire by the owners for a "change of lifestyle" to move closer to their grandchildren, IMAGINE is being seriously offered to the marketplace for less than the prevailing market pricing.  While she must be seen in person to truly appreciate her value, a few of her notable features are:

  • Graceful classic lines
  • Beautiful interior appointments with comfortable accomodations
  • Recently rebuilt diesel auxillary
  • Recent refit of spars and rigging
  • Electric anchor windlass
  • Cutter rig ("optional"); with spinnaker and furling sails
  • Autohelm autopilot, SSB; and other electronics
  • Dodger, bimini, and full winter cover
