Accomodations
Few vessels built in the 80s had anything like the comfort and security built into the center cockpit Irwins. From the moment you enter the salon from the companionway ladder, you get the feeling of being in a much larger vessel. Teak bulkheads & trim with a teak & holly cabin sole. Starting forward is the guest cabin with a spacious vberth, a teak privacy door, hanging locker with cedar lining and four large drawers for storage. There is a private head with shower, vanity and sink.
Next aft is the large airy main salon with a luxurious interior featuring recent uphostery and a soft vinyl headliner with zipper access ports. The main salon has an L shaped settee with teak dining table that converts to a double berth and two upholstered swivel bucket chairs. Ship's business is conducted from the Navigation station located in the passageway between the main salon and the aft Master's cabin. The Master's cabin contains a queen berth with a teak framed mirror on the aft bulkhead giving an air orf spaciousness. There are 10 drawers for ample storgae, a cedar lined locker with teak double doors and a private ensuite head containing a tub/shower, vanity and sink.

There is a 6.6 cubic foot icebox powered by Adler Barbour refrigeration with freezer, a 3 burner LPG gimballed stove and oven, and a double stainless steel sink supplied by a hot water heater and pressurized water system. Hot water underway is provided by a large heat exchanger on the Perkins diesel.

She has a blue hull with a skeg hung rudder and a shoal draft (4'11") keel, which provides good directional stabilty and a sea kindly ride. The mast is keel stepped, making this a "go anywhere" blue water cruiser. There's a stainless steel bow pulpit heading up a clean foredeck for easy anchoring utilizing the windlass and 55# CQR anchor with chain & rode. The swim ladder provides easy entry to the water or dinghy at the stern. She has navlights, stern light and a search light for night work. LIBERTY has a huge cockpit with seating for 8-10 persons and custom vinyl cockpit cushions make her guests extremely comfortable. Wheel steering with a 28" pedestal mounted destroyer wheel. There are 14 opening ports and 7 tinted opening hatches providing light and ventilation. She also has a tinted plexiglass comanionway hatch with molded sea hood and louvered teak drop boards.
