Hull&Deck
Full keel vessel with cutaway forefoot. Hand laminated FRP hull and deck built for a lifetime of rough use. All structural bulkheads are of marine grade plywood, bonded to the hull with fiberglass overlay. Molded boot and cove stripes. Internal ballast is encapsulated cast lead. Hull to deck joint is legendary...with overlay, bedded and aluminum toerail fastened with 5/16" stainless steel bolts on six inch centers. Rudder is supported top and bottom on stainless steel shaft and steel torque plates. Rudder sits on bronze shoe. The deck is crafted of hand laminated FRP, balsa cored for stiffness and strength and locally reinforced in high stress areas. Molded non skid in all work areas. 5' Bowsprit w/teak platform and bow roller. Double lifelines with P&S boarding gates. 5' Molded bulworks provides seagoing security on deck. 10 opening ports and 4 hatches provide good ventilation and natural lighting. There is a traditional butterfly skylight over the main salon. Natural teak handrails on cabin top. Teak trim and taffrail in cockpit. All deck hardware is fastened with oversized ss bolts, aircraft locking nuts and aluminum backing plates.

Accomodations & Layout
The Bayfield 36 is a two stateroom, 3 cabin layout providing privacy for 2 couples or a small family without sleeping in the main salon. The vessel converts to sleeping for 3 adults in the main salon when needed. 6'3" standing headroom.
FORWARD STATEROOM: Has a large offset double berth to port with 6" cushions. The berth is 7'6"X4'3". Two drawers under aft end of berth. Storage lockers forward. Teak book rack on bulkhead. Large cedar lined hanging locker. Bureau and small vanity seat. Two opening hatches and one opening port provide good ventilation.
Next aft to port is HEAD and stall showertub. Marine head with remote holding tank (26 Gal) Mirror over vanity with shelves below. 12V shower sump pump to thru hull. Opening hatch and port. Opposite head on starboard side is:
NAVIGATION STATION: This stand up unit has a large chart table and all belowdecks instrumentation. Small teak fiddles on table. AC and DC electrical panels. Custom cabinetry provides additional storage under the Nav station. Next aft is:
MAIN SALON: There is an L shaped settee to port 6'6"X4'3" with 4" cushions. This converts to a double berth. Bookshelves and lockers throughout. Opposite is 6'6" settee. Both berths are equipped with lee cloths for conversion to sea berths. There is a custom coffee table. Next aft to port is a spacious quarter cabin featuring a double berth (7'2"X 4'1") with shelf above, cedar lined hanging locker w/drawers. Ventilation is excellent thru an opening port and hatch in addition to 5 Hella cabin fans and two NICRO POWERVENT 2000 SOLAR VENTS. The entire interior has been revarnished.

The L shaped Galley on the Bayfield 36 is a seagoing gormet's delight. It features a single deep, stainless steel sink, NOVAKOOL 12V refrigeration, and many drawers and lockers for storage. Hot and cold pressure water is furnished. Water is heated by a six galon hot water heater while in port and thru a heat exchanger on the engine underway. There is a two burner propane stove with oven, a Xintex propane sniffer and solenoid. Sea water is suppied by a hand pump.
