"TRAVELS WITH CHARLEY"
1988 Nautique 42 Cockpit Motor Yacht
Specifications
Description
The Nautique 42 was built by the Taiwan builder Kha Shing Yacht Corporation. Known for their quality and craftsmanship, they began in 1975 as a lumber yard and with their abundant supply of fine quality teak, moved into boat building in 1977. Since then they have built their reputation as one of the finest yards in Asia and have delivered over 1000 yachts from 40’ to 145’ worldwide. They currently produce the Monte Fino yachts, which range from 45’ to 132’ and built custom yachts as well.
With two staterooms and ensuite heads, the Nautique 42’ is perfect for comfortable cruising or a great place to hang your visor in Annapolis or wherever you want to be on the water. The semi-planing hull can provide a smooth, economical 7-8 knot ride at around 3 GPH- or you can get up and go, cruising at around 16 knots when you need to outrun a storm. Top end is 19 knots. Gunkholing, hanging out, long range trawler type cruising or doing the Great Loop- this is a great boat for all of it!
“TRAVELS WITH CHARLEY” has a hard top bimini over the sun deck and an aft cockpit to fish or swim from. The teak interior has a galley and dinette down layout.
Here’s an opportunity to get a decent boat for a decent price. Call and make an appointment to see her today!

There is a loveseat on port that converts to a sleep sofa; on the starboard side is a rattan swivel chair. There are countertops on either side of the space forward, with the starboard side having an icemaker and two stools for eating there. Sliding screened windows on either side of the space provide plenty of ventilation and keep the space bright. Headroom is 6'5"
