Description
Built from 1984 to 1990 the Hunter is a a wonderful family boat or live aboard. With a beam of 13'5" she has an aft cabin that rivals that of most center cockpit boats. She has two heads, a large main saloon and a large galley with storage and amenities that would please a gourmet cook. Starting from the bow, there is a V-berth stateroom forward with a hanging locker to port and an ensuite head to starboard.
Amidships is the spacious main saloon with a straight settee to port and a curved/dinette style settee to starboard. There is a 32" Flat screen TV on the forward bulkhead. Continuing aft there is a large L shaped galley with copious storage, a large top loading refrigerator, separate top loading freezer, built in microwave oven, coffee maker, double deep stainless steel sinks, and a 3 burner CNG stove with oven. Aft of the galley on the Starboard side is a door to the aft stateroom.
On the Port side, across from the galley, is a large forward facing navigation desk with outboard 12 volt DC and 120 volt AC shore power electrical panels, VHF Marine radio and AM/FM/CD stereo which has a pair of speakers in both the cockpit and main saloon. Aft of the nav-station is a door to the aft head.
The 40 Hp Yanmar engine with only 1,250 hours resides under the bridge deck in the center of the boat and can be accessed for service from all 4 sides:
1. By removing the companionway steps.
2. By removing an access panel in the aft head.
3. By removing a panel in the galley, and
4. By removing an access panel in the aft stateroom which exposes the back of the engine, transmission, driveshaft and stuffing box.
The mechanic never had it so good!
The aft stateroom is in the stern. There is a center line queen sized bed with hanging lockers, cabinets and shelves to either side. A mirror above drawers forward, plenty of space to sit or stand to get dressed and a 20" flat screen TV. A door on the Port side leads to the aft head. Thus the aft head can be accessed from the main saloon or the aft stateroom.

Galley There is plenty of counter space and storage in the galley, with a Nicro solar vent and an opening port located above the stove/oven area.
