Accomodations
ALKION sleeps 7 in a 3 cabin/2 stateroom layout. The owner's cabin forward boasts a large double berth with teak lockers, cabinets, drawers and a vanity. There is a wide dressing seat aft of the berth and a large mirror on the bulkhead over the vanity. There are custom sheets and mattress cover for the v berth. Next aft is the spacious main salon with bulkhead mounted table which drops down to provide dining space for 6 adults. When the table is in the up position, the L shaped settee converts to a berth for two. To starboard is a long sette which can also serve as a great sea berth for one. Next aft to port is the L shaped galley with a four burner CNG stove (with extra gas bottle), SEA FROST engine driven refrigeration (new compressor 2002) and double stainless steel sink. The galley has lockers and bins providing abundant storage. Hot pressure water is provided throughout the vessel from an 11 gallon stainless steel water heater. To starboard is the Navigation station with sit down charting table, instrumentation, electronics readouts, ac/dc electrical panel and gauges. Next aft to port is the guest cabin with long (7') double berth, hanging locker and storage cabinets. Light and ventilation is superior throughout the vessel with 18 opening ports and hatches. Interior cushions are navy blue. The large and open aft head has a vanity and sit down shower stall. The shower is a hand held unit. ALKION is centrally heated and air conditioned through a reverse cycle unit.
