"Phoenix" is a handsome design from the drawing board of Al Mason and beautifully built by Pacific Asian Industries, also know as "Ta Shing". These are the cream of the crop of boats built in Asia. Currently,the same boat building company is exporting the Nordhavn Trawlers worldwide, primarily to cruising sailor's transitioning to power.

Accommodations
A wonderful combination of design, workmanship and good care. The gorgeous varnished full teak interior of this Mason 44 is in excellent condition. Varnished teak and holly sole throughout, reading lamps at each berth and settee and additional overhead dome style lamps provide abundant artificial light while 3 large hatches, 8 opening ports plus dorades and 4 large fixed ports provide excellent natural light and ventilation.
FROM THE BOW:
Starting forward is the Forward Stateroom featuring offset double berth to port, small dressing seat with storage under. There are storage drawers under the berth and additional storage in shelving over; a large hanging locker is to starboard.
Aft and to port is the Head featuring manual W.C. plumbed via y valve to holding tank, vanity with stainless sink, and green Corian counter top and H&C pressure water (backed up by manual foot pump), separate stall shower compartment and good stowage. Opposite to starboard is a hanging locker and bureau with drawers behind which is another locker with shelves (storage throughout is excellent).
Next aft is the Main Salon with U shaped settee to port and straight settee to starboard. The seat back for the starboard settee can be raised to form a pilot berth. There is storage behind the seat backs and in lockers and shelves above the seat backs.
Aft of the starboard settee is the outboard facing navigation station with swing out navigators stool. Storage for charts in the flip up table and there is good storage for other navigation items and misc. gear in three drawers. The yacht's navigation publications are conveniently located in the book shelf above the chart table and the electrical distribution panel is to the navigators right. Primary navigation electronics are located above. (Galley opposite see Galley)
Continuing aft there are hanging lockers and shelves to starboard while to port is the Aft Stateroom featuring large double berth outboard with several large storage drawers underneath, a four drawer dresser with mirror and vanity lights,lined hanging locker and bookshelf plus shelf above the berth for storage.
The interior of the Mason 44 is undeniably pleasant to spend time in and this one is in excellent condition.
