1997 Beneteau Oceanis 351
Specifications
Description
Designed by Jean Berret, the hull of the Beneteau 351 offers her owner a very maneuverable boat under power and sail. This is not surprising when you take into account her taut lines, maximum waterline length and her wide beam ensuring excellent stability. The Beneteau 351 is the product of all Beneteau's experience, designed for your ocean-going comfort. With a draft of only 5 feet, the Oceanis 351 can explore the most secluded creek. All of these components added together result in a cruising boat that offers not only ease of handling and spacious living, but also great performance and a joy to sail.

The Oceanis 351 was designed to be easily sailed by a couple and to leave the deck as uncluttered as possible. The roller furler is below decks and the furler line is led directly aft, reducing friction loading on the line. The sail handling lines are all led aft to the cockpit and concealed beneath a sea hood, minimizing trip hazards and presenting a cleaner look to the deck.

Details 11
Forward stateroom: Starting forward, there is a spacious V berth, with a hanging locker on starboard and a shelving locker on port. Shelves going forward of these lockers are along each hull side and additional storage is located beneath the bunk. Ventilation and lighting is provided by two opening ports and an overhead hatch, all with shades.
Saloon: The saloon in the Beneteau 351 is an open and comfortable area, with the dinette located on starboard and a linear galley and navigation station on port. Wood staving line the hullsides in all areas not covered by cabinetry or furniture. The dinette is curved and will comfortably seat five for meals. The dinette top lowers to convert into a large double berth when needed. There is storage beneath and behind the dinette seating.
Galley: The galley is located on port across from the dinette and is lineal in layout. The counter space for food preparation is generous; starting from the aft end forward is the ice box with 12 volt refrigeration, LPG stove and oven and then the double stainless steel sink. There is a storage locker under the sink counter as well as a pull out trash bin door. There is a cutlery organizer behind the sink and counter top storage shelf space behind the sink and stove. Above the counter are four lockers, both drop-front and regular.
Nav station: Aft of the galley on port is the forward facing nav station. The chart table is large enough to hold a chart book and has good storage beneath it; outboard along the hull is the 12 volt electrical panel, electronics and storage cubbies. The nav seat is curved for comfort when heeled and provides additional storage beneath it as well.
Head: The head is on starboard just aft of the dinette and forward of the entrance to the rear cabin on that side. The cabin is made of molded fiberglass for easy wipe down. The sink is also molded in and has a pull out shower mixer. Two good sized mirrored medicine cabinets are behind the counter and there is more storage beneath the sink. The space is bright and airy, with an opening porthole for ventilation.
Aft staterooms: There are two identical staterooms on either side aft. Each cabin has a double berth, hanging locker with a shelf overhead, a two shelf unit just aft of that and a single shelf that runs along the hullside the rest of the way aft. Each cabin is air conditioned.
