The Tayana 55 is one of the most renowned cruising sailboats ever built. The Tayana 55 was designed by Dutch naval architect Pieter Beeldsnijder. The Tayana 55 is considered amongst serious cruisers to be one of the few larger "hallmark" cruising yachts ever built. As is often the case with Beeldsnijder, his designs are intentional, where everything has a purpose.
MYSTIQUE has been significantly upgraded in the last several years. The current owners really put their attention and focus on areas that have a significant impact on the integrity of a sailing yacht. So often, these yachts fall victim to owners with the best of intentions, but, misguided efforts are often targeted towards cosmetics. Not MYSTIQUE! MYSTIQUE offers high "curb appeal," but also doesn't rest on her laurels because, she has substantive enhancements not often found on recreational cruising yachts.
MYSTIQUE is a THREE cabin Tayana 55 with forward and aft staterooms. She has crew quarters to starboard, with over/under berths forward of the saloon. Her interior is teak and is light honey colored. The fact that she has been well maintained on both the exterior and interior is easily apparent the moment you step aboard. Her saloon is voluminous, with settee to starboard and L shaped dining area to port. MYSTIQUE'S nav station is to the port side of the companionway with state of the art navigation and communication systems. Also, to port is a proper walk-in engine room with work bench. MYSTIQUE also has a large recessed projection entertainment viewing system in her main saloon. Imagine theater like entertainment in the ARC or Caribbean 1500!
Her master stateroom aft is sumptuous to say the least. It offers a centerline queen berth and a private ensuite head, along with a seperate shower stall. The aft cabin also boasts a setee seating area to starboard and a proper vanity with dedicating seating to port. The forward stateroom offers a centerline queen berth as well, along with abundant storage. Her forward head also has a seperate shower stall.
