Description

JUST REDUCED! SHE'S A CLEAN BOAT IN GREAT SHAPE!

Rarely, if ever, will you see a more perfectly maintained yacht than this Hunter 41 Deck Saloon cruiser, ‘Yemaya’. This lovely yacht is not only pristine, but she also has so efficient a layout that when you are down below you would think you were in a forty-five footer.

Designed by Glen Henderson and Hunter Marine, this Hunter 41DS combines beauty and extremely well-appointed interiors for comfort and exceptional ease of sailing.

The winner of Cruising World's Boat of the Year (Production Cruisers 40-44 feet) and their Overall Best Value awards in 2005, the Hunter 41DS is well equipped and ready for weekend cruising on the bay or that long awaited voyage to the Islands. ‘Yemaya’ is laid out above and below decks with comfort in mind. Her double stateroom setup with large galley and raised saloon is bright and spacious, great for accommodating guests and entertaining while at anchor. Above deck, ‘Yemaya' ’is built for shorthanded sailing, with roller furling main, furling genoa and all control lines led aft. Her cockpit is spacious and perfect for lounging, while the aft seat folds down to create easy access to the wide swim platform. A more vertical bow profile is utilized to maximize waterline length and decrease pitching motion. Strategic rigging placement keeps the deck clean while the standard cockpit arch positions the traveler up and out of the way while also providing the bimini, stereo speaker and overhead lighting connections.

Accommodations

Overview: The Hunter 41 Deck Saloon interior, as you come down the companionway, gives a first impression of warmth & elegance. The raised roof-line allows for wonderful light, incredible headroom and panoramic views. The woods are finished in gloss cherry, the leather dinette seating and the loveseat make this a truly unique, richly appointed saloon. The galley has Corian counter-tops, wonderful storage and features a 10 cubic foot pantry. Both of the staterooms feature quality mattresses (an innerspring forward and a TempurPedic aft) for comfortable sleep, reading lights, a vanity and a separate head.

Forward head: The entire compartment is made of anti-bacterial FRP. There is a large medicine cabinet forward, with the head beneath it. A drop-down teak shower seat folds out of the way when the head is in use. There are Corian counter tops on both sides along the hull with stainless steel wire fiddles. The shower wand is height adjustable and bar mounted. Headroom in this compartment is 5'10". There are two overhead lights and an opening hatch for lighting and ventilation

Forward stateroom: There is an offset 80" long innerspring mattress berth on the port side of the stateroom. A leecloth provides security in the berth when underway. There are a pair of reading lights at the head of the bed. A fiddled shelf lines the hull side above it and continues across the forward bulkhead to the head door. Beneath the berth there are two drawers and a lift up lid gives access to additional storage beneath the bunk. On the starboard side forward is the en suite vanity, with a bullnose Corian counter top and stainless steel sink. Above that is a medicine cabinet with sliding mirrored doors. There is drawer and locker storage beneath the counter. To the right and aft of that is a cedar lined hanging locker with a shelf inside. Above the hanging locker and the medicine cabinet is a large fiddled shelf space. There are doors at either end of this compartment.

Saloon: On the port side of the saloon is a large U-shaped dinette area with tan colored leather cushions. There is storage beneath the seats as well as behind them along the hull side. Above along the hull side there are a pair of lockers on either end with a fiddled shelf space between them; the entire unit has a fiddled shelf above that. The dinette table is finished in a high gloss and has a table leaf insert. The table will drop down if desired to form a 54" x 80" double berth. On the port side there is a fabric covered loveseat. A large drawer is concealed beneath it and provides unexpected storage there. Above the loveseat is a cabinet forward and open shelf aft of that.

Accomodations Continued

Nav station: Aft of the starboard loveseat is the nav station. Forward facing, there is a nav pod with a teak front that provides plenty of surface to house electronics. The table top is generous in size and will readily fit a chart book. The lids lifts for storage below and there is a goose-necked chart light. The contoured wood seat keeps you secure on all points of sail and has storage beneath it.

Galley: Located aft of the dinette on port, the galley is L-shaped and provides lots of counter space for prep. There is a nice, deep double sink positioned in the corner and at a diagonal to the counter surfaces. Beneath that is a locker, while to the right of the sink and below is an upright freezer, followed by a stack of drawers. Above on the counter is a counter top filler that lifts to access the waste bin. Going the other direction from the sink and along the hull side is the stove, with pot and pan storage beneath it. Next aft is the upright refrigerator. Above and behind the bullnose Corian counter top along the hull is the microwave, double door cabinet storage and the glass door signature Hunter dish drying rack cabinet. Aft of the freezer is a full-height pantry cabinet.

Aft head: Located on starboard, the aft head has entry from either the saloon or the aft cabin. There is a manual head, with the Corian counter top sink cabinet to the right of that. There is storage beneath the sink and a drop-front mirrored medicine cabinet above it. Aft of that is a separate shower stall, with a bi-fold door, teak shower seat and a height adjustable shower wand. Ventilation is generous, with two opening ports and a hatch.

Master stateroom: Entry to the master stateroom is on starboard. As you step down into the cabin you find an athwart-ships queen size berth with a padded headboard. There are a pair of reading lights on either side, three overhead lights, an overhead hatch and two opening ports at the head of the berth. Storage space abounds, beginning with a nightstand at the head of the bed with an open cubby beneath it. Behind the headboard there is a shelf space with storage beneath; along the aft end of the cabin there is a shelf the length of the berth with storage beneath that. Moving around to the foot of the bed there are several more cubby spaces, with a  nice sized cedar lined hanging locker at the forward end. At the aft end of the engine is a fiddled Corian counter top and mirror with three lamps above that which serves as a dressing mirror. There is additional storage beneath the berth itself. The entire cabin has a feel of comfort and coziness, yet you don't feel cramped in it.
