Description

The Mainship Pilot 30 Rum Runner II is a Downeast style cruiser built on a solid fiberglass, straight tracking semi-displacement hull with a prop-protecting skeg. The product of Mainship’s in-house design team, Pilot 30 was one of Mainship’s most popular models. The Series II incorporates a shortened keel, propeller tunnel and a five-blade prop that cruises at 17-18 knots, with a top end of 24-26 knots with her efficient single 315hp Yanmar diesel.

The large cockpit makes her a great place to entertain family and friends. The comfortable accommodations appeal to weekend cruisers while also providing a competent fishing or diving platform. The all-fiberglass exterior lets you spend more time relaxing and less time maintaining- who doesn’t like that?

Escape below into the warmth of a well thought out, inviting cherry wood interior. Enter through the sliding door and discover the generous 6'3" headroom, with the feeling of spaciousness further achieved by five strategically positioned screened portholes. At mealtime, the port side galley of the Pilot 30 accommodates, equipped with a microwave oven, cooktop stove, refrigerator, and plentiful storage. A versatile drop-leaf table sets up in a snap to seat four, then tucks neatly away to make room for the queen-size berth. Other Pilot 30 highlights include an all-fiberglass head, cedar-lined hanging locker and CD stereo with cabin and cockpit speakers.

Our offering, “3 ORANGE WHIPS”, has a gorgeous Sky Blue Gelcoat that accentuates the dramatic and graceful upward-sloped sheer lines. The Sunbrella “Toast” enclosure completes the look and is sure to turn heads and get admiring looks wherever you go.

3 ORANGE WHIPS won’t be on the market for long. When the current owners bought her the listing hadn’t even finished being prepared. Call the listing broker now and make an appointment to come see her while you still can!

Accommodations

Salon:  Below there is a comfortable U-shaped dinette area that can easily seat four or more.  The table leaves can fold in to serve as a café table or can be opened up for dining.  There is storage beneath the dinette seats. The Mainship folks have cleverly created a way to make a 78” x 58” centerline berth in the 30 Pilot Series II.  A sliding suspension pulls out and the hinged lower portion of the berth flips open to create a very nice berth.  There are two reading lights above the berth and nightstand shelves on either side.  Additionally, there are fiddled overhead shelves that run the length of the cabin.  On starboard, aft of the settee is a cedar lined hanging locker and aft of the settee on port is the galley.

Galley:  Located at the base of the companionway, the portside galley has a top loading refrigerator, single burner LPG stove and a sink with a single lever water mixer.  There is double door storage beneath the counter, while above and behind is additional storage, with a fiddled shelf above that.

Lighting and ventilation to the salon and galley area are provided by five opening stainless steel ports, five overhead lights, two reading lights and an overhead hatch with an Oceanaire shade screen.

Head:  The head is on starboard at the base of the companionway.  There is an angled Corian countertop with a round stainless steel sink.  Beneath the countertop is storage with two double doors.  Above the counter is a double door medicine cabinet with a mirror above.  Just aft of that is another locker with shelving.  The head is to the right.  Lighting and ventilation are provided by an overhead light, indirect soffit lighting and a translucent overhead fixed light.

Helm Deck:The fixed windshield has an opening center window. The helm and navigators’ seats are adjustable Garelick seating.  There are flip down footrests and cup holders at both stations.  Forward of the nav seat is a plexiglass cover to protect your charts, while everything at the helmsman station is within easy reach. Aft of the helm seats are straight settees on either side with padded back rests.  The full bridge deck enclosure has both U-zip windows on either side and a full- height panel to the cockpit that can be rolled up. Stepping down into the cockpit there is room to fish or for casual seating and entertaining, with a transom door for access to the swim platform.
