"Night Star"
1985 Pacific Seacraft Crealock 34
Specifications
Description
To quote Bill Crealock about the 34, "Understanding the heritage and the philosophy behind the Pacific Seacraft 34 is relatively easy. You need only look as far as the Pacific Seacraft 37. Clearly a slightly smaller sister, the Pacific Seacraft 34 is a refined sibling which boasts the same seagoing capabilities, the same beauty and the same adherance to the control and comfort of her owner."
It has been said that the small details make great boats and the Pacific Seacraft 34, upon inspection, can be presented as a case study to this fact. Even if your plans do not include rounding Cape Horn and you just want a safe, solid bay boat or coastal cruiser that can go the distance, the knowledge that the classic beauty you're sitting on can take you there and beyond with safety and comfort is reassuring in itself! Night Star presents a true value in today's market and certainly is worthy of your personal inspection.

In the forward cabin is a large V-berth that can be converted to a double berth, with lockers underneath, full length shelves along both sides of the hull, and a double hanging locker with a shelf above it. A teak double door in the forepeak provides access to the chain locker. Three solid bronze portlights and an overhead hatch provide ventilation and light, aided by two brass reading lights and an overhead light.
Aft to port is the head. There is a shared door which can enclose just the head or the forward cabin as well for privacy. There are storage lockers above and below the sink and this area includes such amenities as a teak framed mirror, hand holds and a towel bar. Ventilation and lighting are provided by a dorade vent, overhead light and one solid bronze portlight.
Continuing aft into the spacious main saloon, the ambiance reflects a traditional layout with modern conveniences. Port and starboard settees provide excellent sea berths and the port settee converts easily into a wide double berth. Teak storage lockers and bookshelves with removable fiddles are behind both settees and additional storage is found behind the cushions as well as below. There is a bulkhead mounted dinette table with storage behind it.
Next aft to port, her galley is a masterpiece of functional utility. The deep double sinks are located close to centerline without impeding traffic. A salt water foot pump augments the hot and cold pressure water faucet. There is a drop-down teak dish locker and a removable trash container with a cutting board top for easy disposal of cutting scraps. A gimballed oven with a safety bar and a large, six cubic foot ice box with four inches of insulation make the refrigeration extremely effecient. Numerous teak storage compartments provide a remarkable amount of storage.
To starboard, the forward facing navigation station is located at the base of the companionway steps, where it is easily accessible from the cockpit. The flip teak chart table top is large (31" x 40") and usable in a sloped or flat position. The master electrical panel is located there. Electronics are close at hand and there is a wet locker for hanging foul weather gear below the chart table. The forward end of the quarterberth serves as a secure seat for the navigator.
The entire saloon area is illuminated with six solid bronze opening ports, an opening hatch and one dorade vent. The padded headliner installed throughout the vessel helps keep it cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter (I know this personally from being inside them for hours on end at Boat Show time!) Full 6'3" headroom helps give the vessel a feeling of spaciousness and comfort.

Everything about a Pacific Seacraft makes me feel safe. I've been in lots of weather and when I see things like proper bulwarks, hawse pipes for dock lines and anchor snubbers, high lifelines I know this is a boat designed to be at sea.
