MANUFACTURER'S COMMENTS

The Pacific Seacraft 31 is a new cruising design from the board of renowned naval architect W.I.B. Crealock. She was born of the same wisdom that conceived the immensely successful Crealock 37 and 34. The 31's hull configuration, rig and underbody are very similar to her two forebears, yet she boasts a proportionately broader beam and longer waterline. The result is outstanding speed, comfortable motion, and superb ease of handling. The Pacific Seacraft 31 is designed and built to cross any ocean in comfort and confidence. An impressive bluewater cruiser, she embodies all the Pacific Seacraft trademarks of high quality and fine detail: solid bronze seacocks and portholes, massive anchoring systems, impeccable joiner work, superb engine access and much more.

The interior of the Pacific Seacraft 31 is fresh, contemporary and versatile. It provides for amazing openness, with lowered bulkheads and ten oversized bronze ports, phenomenal stowage areas, and even an extra-wide bridgedeck that makes it easy to enter the cabin.

OWNER'S COMMENTS

The boat we called IMARI is a strong, seaworthy vessel. She took us on scores of memorable adventures and carried us through heavy weather. We, along with our friends, families, and racing pals, used her for day-sailing, racing and cruising on the Chesapeake. We won our division in the 2017 Governor’s Cup, the oldest and longest overnight race on the bay. We took her to the Carolinas, where pods of dolphins swam alongside us, and wintered there. We spent recent years exploring southern New England—including Shelter Island, Block Island, Newport, Woods Hole, Martha’s Vineyard, Cuttyhunk and the Elizabeth Islands.

The Pacific Seacraft 31 hits my ‘sweet spot’ for docking with ease - while also incurring lower costs for slips, maintenance and repairs. Her cutter rig offers versatility in flying one, two, or three sails - in varying wind conditions. Her two 120% Yankee genoas (both re-conditioned) offer greater visibility. The running rigging is set up for singlehanded sailing. Her custom boom-vang, whisker pole, spinnaker and Monitor wind-vane are a plus. We found her “open layout” design ideal for a cruising couple - and also hospitable for guests. Her pull-out table - hidden under the V-berth - is superb for meals, games, and laptop work. Her fridge (beneath the nav-station) helps preserve cabin space. There’s rermarkable/easy access to the Yanmar diesel under the companionway stairs.
