Hull & Deck
"BLUE PEARL" has a white hull with blue boot stripe. The Crealock 34' is built to a standard seldom seen in production boat building. A solid fiberglass hull is made up of hand laminated biaxial glass. The first hull laminate is made up using vinylester resin for superior blister resistance. The rudder is constructed using a steel web frame and supported by a high strength manganese bronze gudgeon. Ballast is provided by a solid lead keel coupled with stainless steel. Her structural bulkheads are bonded into the hull with fiberglass and then bolted in place. An extremely strong way to build a boat. The deck is balsa cored for additional strength with marine plywood substituted in high load areas. The deck, lockers and bilge have all been gelcoated to prevent mildew and to facilitate cleaning. The deck's non skid pattern has been molded in. Bronze thru hulls throughout. Ten chrome plated bronze opening ports with screens. 2 BOWMAR Hatches. Teak Cockpit table, custom cockpit cushions and MERRIMAN wheel make the cockpit functional as well as attractive. In 2001, the bottom was stripped and 2 coats of INTERLUX epoxy was applied as a protective barrier coat.
