Description

"Nightingale" is the amazing Westerly OceanLord 41 built in 1997. This is a wonderful Blue Water center cockpit two stateroom sailboat with wonderful liveaboard accommodations and comfortable cruising amenities. The boat is maintained in good condition and she offers tremendous value when compared to yachts of similar vintage and size.

Recent Maintenance Includes:

● Rigging Inspection: forestay replaced, older or chafed lines replaced, worn or cracked sheaves and blocks replaced and frayed VHF antenna cable will be repaired or replaced by Marine Technical Services.

● Engine inspection by certified Volvo mechanic, Dick Vosbury at Vosbury Marine. All systems were normal, recommended: clean air filter and ventilation valve, replace older section of exhaust hose and continue excellent maintenance.

● Frigoboat refrigerator and Dometic portable refrigerator/freezer serviced by J Gordon Co.

● Selected Strataglass replaced by Hurricane Upholstery

Accommodations

This 41 foot cruiser is a spacious center cockpit vessel with a full cockpit enclosure. Starting forward, there is a very nice v-berth with the guest head and shower just aft. Opposite the head is a large locker to starboard. The main salon has a comfy u-shaped settee to port with a nice big centerline dropleaf table and shelves and lockers outboard of the settee. The starboard settee is also wide and makes a great sea berth. With the table in the middle, you can seat eight for dinner. Aft of the dinette to port is the sit down navigation station. To starboard, the galley is quite large and extremely workable with great storage. Actually, a pair of chefs can work comfortably in the galley. The pass through to the aft cabin has ample headroom. There is expansive engine access from the walk through. Outboard to port, there are custom storage lockers providing extra space for a little 12 volt freezer. The aft stateroom is very nice with a centerline queen sized berth and dressing seats port and starboard with his and hers lockers and drawers. The owner’s private head is on the starboard side.

The teak interior is pleasing with excellent joinery and teak and holly type sole. Its ambiance is warm and peaceful and at the same time there is plenty of light and ventilation. There is plenty of space for two to liveaboard in comfort.
