2017 Jeanneau NC 11
Specifications
Description
In 2010, Jeanneau Yachts, a leading innovator in modern yachts, both power and sail, re-invented a class of yachts known as ‘express cruisers.’ Gone are the days of descending into the dark recesses of a lower salon and cabin, to be cut off from the splendor of a beautiful anchorage. Gone are the days of surrounding yourself with canvas to get out of the weather. Jeanneau has brought a world of innovation to market with their NC-series yachts. The NC11, after eleven years of design refinements and improvements, is an awesome yacht that will take you where you want to go efficiently and in style.
This particular two-owner boat has been lightly used with only 222 engine hours and 52 genset hours, well cared for, and is ready for spring commissioning and a season of fun on the water.
A note about our mid-winter marketing presentation. Normally, we take a couple hundred shots of our yachts, out on the water on beautiful days, away from the dock, with drone video and other sizzling approaches to help buyers see how cool our offering is. In this case, this time of year, we just can’t do that. We’re starting out from winter storage on land in a dusty yard at the end of the boating season. Our apologies for the less than stellar pics but, until spring launch and clean-up, this is where we are! Feel free to contact us to talk specifics. We helped these owners purchase this yacht and we know it very well.
Details 1
Jeanneau has brought about a total re-invention of the modern express cruiser, first introduced in 2010. The design has further evolved each year since then.
- The cockpit is where you will spend a majority of your time on this yacht. The NC11 has one of the most versatile cockpits in the express cruiser class.
- The rear sliding salon door opens nearly entirely to connect the inside and outside spaces architecturally.
- The aft main salon bench flips to a rearward facing position to further enlarge the entertaining space for owners and guests.
- The forward-facing aft cockpit bench slides back two feet or so, also enlarging the cockpit entertaining area. This also facilitates easy access to the engine and genset spaces for service and regular maintenance.
- The swim platform measures 10’ x 2.5’ with a hidden swim ladder for easy egress from the water.
- Interestingly, the exterior port and starboard side decks leading forward are not the same width, further maximizing interior volume for entertaining, storage and extended cruising.
- The main salon/galley/helm area is huge and surrounded by full glass for elevated views in all directions. Gone are the days of stepping below into dark spaces in the typical express cruisers of yesteryear.
- The elevated helm affords a full 360 degrees of visibility for cruising and maneuvering around the dock.
- An opening door on the port side next to the helm
- A huge electric sunroof opens quietly to give salon/helm occupants the feeling of running the yacht from outside
- The forward main salon/dinette seat also flips up, over and then faces forward to provide two elevated forward facing helm seats for crew during a spirited cruise.
- Not only does the main salon table flip open on two sides to enlarge eating space, there are also two additional stools conveniently tucked under the starboard salon wall that pop out to create dining space for six people, completely amazing for a yacht this size.
- The table has three more incredible features: it drops to create a bed, it flips 90 degrees so you can move it out of the way, AND it is portable so you can just pull it out to the aft cockpit for al fresco dining in nice weather.
- Raising the salon/galley/helm area provides for huge spaces below the floors for storage and yacht systems which are logically laid out and all very easy to fully access.
- The salon location for the galley up affords lots of cabin/head space below.
- The generous owners cabin features a large queen-sized bed that is expandable in length if desired for sleeping, and retractable during the day when floor/passage space is preferred.
- The head is large and features a separate shower area.
- The guest cabin to starboard features separate twin beds but can be filled in to create one large double bed.
- Performance (economy): 2500 RPM, 12.8 knots, 6.6GPH, 1.9NM/gallon, 322 mile range
- Performance (max): 4000 RPM, 31.9 knots, 21.8GPH, 1.5NM/gallon, 243 mile range
- The beauty of these stats is that fuel consumption from the super efficient 200HP Volvo diesel engines is pretty linear across the RPM range, so the ‘sweet’ spot on efficient fuel burn is very broad – just run the boat the way you like and don’t worry about fuel since most RPM ranges on plane are super efficient!
- During acceleration, there’s only a 10 degree rise in the bow so, from the elevated helm position, visibility remains outstanding. Once on plane, the bow rise is only 5 degrees.
- During sharp turns on plane, lean in is only about 5 degrees as well so you and your guests can remain comfortable during cruising and maneuvering.

- June 2021 - Installed Jabsco Hotshot HD5-12V 5GPM 70PSI Heavy Duty Washdown Pump. I used the raw water through hull originally intended for flushing the toilet, but unused since the previous owner had it converted to fresh water flush. I wired the pump to the macerator circuit through a switch in the head since macerator is not typically used. The macerator could be reconnected. It is a bit inelegant because the pump, hose, and through hull are in the head and I run the hose out the head port light. I did not want to drill holes in the boat to run the hose forward to the bow at this time. That said, the wash down works great and is, in my view, necessary with the Chesapeake mud bottom.
- July 2021 - Three new Lifeline 31 XT (125Ah ea) installed in house battery bank
